Simone Papaiz is exonerated from Susam after being released from prison

The exoneration, happens on the first business day after she leaves the CDPF where she was held for five days.

The Government of Amazonas exonerated this Monday (6) the Secretary of Health of Amazonas, Simone Papaiz, arrested by the Federal Police last week during the outbreak of Operation Sangria, that investigates the activities of a criminal organization installed in the government of Amazonas with the objective of diverting public resources destined to meet the needs of the pandemic of covid-19.

The dismissal of Simone Papaiz, happens on the first business day after she leaves the Women's Provisional Detention Center - CDPF, where she was held for five days and released at dawn on Sunday (5).

They were also exonerated: the chief prosecutor of the State Housing Superintendence (Suhab), João Paulo Marques, who was former executive secretary of Susam; and the purchasing manager at Susam, Alcineide Figueiredo Pinheiro. All also arrested in the PF operation.

The communication secretary of the Government of Amazonas, Daniela Assayag, was also exonerated, at her request, after being accused, by members of the Health CPI, participation in the sale of respirators to the State.
